In 2008, Circling Buffalo Inc. established the vision statement “We gather in unity to awaken the spirit and the will within honouring life.” This reflects the Circling Buffalo Inc. Board’s principles of unity, taking personal responsibility and honouring the sacredness of life. The Circling Buffalo Inc. Board commissioned artist Warren Bone of Keeseekoowenin Ojibway Nation to create a logo that reflects the principles and goals of family violence prevention in First Nation communities. The following narrative tells the story of each element in the logo.

The Sweetgrass Trail painting represents your walk in life; four white feathers represent the four directions, purity and honesty. Holding a feather means we are to be truthful and honest. Putting the feathers opposite of one another reminds us there is good and bad in life. Which way you will travel this trail of life is your decision. The sweat lodge represents us as human beings; the bottom ring represents the Elders, the second ring represents adults, the third ring represents the youth, and the fourth ring represents the baby, which is held highest for our Creator to see. The background star represents you; you are the center, surrounding layers are your family, the grandfathers and grandmothers, and your community. Mother Earth and Father Sky are represented in the background colours.
